This is a vintage battery-operated Japanese typist doll tin toy from the 1970s. The toy is in good working order; it is entirely made of tin except for the doll’s face, palms, and fingers; there are minor rust spots on the toy and some color loss on the doll’s chair due to its age. The rubber band in the doll’s hair was recently added; some letters on the paper inside the typewriter have faded. The toy is in fair shape overall for its age. When the toy is switched on, the typist moves her hand and head as if typing; the paper within the typewriter moves up and down; and there are lights inside the typewriter. It is a rare and valuable piece as well as a charming decorative object that would look lovely on any shelf. It will make a fantastic addition to any old tin toy collection and is a must-have for old typist tin toy collectors.
