This porcelain enamel signboard is intended for use as a state express signboard. The colors of the signboard are orange, yellow, blue, and white. State Express 555 is written on the board. The panel features a cigarette can on the bottom and text on the top. In the postwar period, State Express 555 was one of Singapore’s most popular cigarette brands. The signboard has signs of rust on the top part. There is wear of enamel on the signboard. The signboard dates from 1940 in the United Kingdom.
