This is a vintage battery-powered “Picnic Bunny” by Alps. It originated in 1980 in Japan. When the batteries are inserted, he pours his carrot juice into his eggshell cup and proceeds to drink it! While all this is happening, his eyes light up. Along with his nose and mouth, the toy’s base is made of tin litho. The cup and bottle of carrot juice are plastic, and he has “fur” covering his entire body. Although there is some light corrosion inside the battery box, it is not bad. Unless he has really strong batteries, he tends to give up when drinking. The box cover is in decent shape with some wear and light tears, and the bottom of the box has the battery compartment.
