Maconochies Pure Sweets Signboard

This is a charmingly chippy, old, porcelain enamel signboard for Maconochie’s Pure Sweets. Made in Birmingham, England in around 1940, this sign reads “Maconochie’s Pure Sweets” on a white background offset with blue lettering and red and black trim on an oval-shaped board. The colour has worn away in some places over many years of outdoor exposure, leaving it perfectly distressed with character galore.
